Straight answers to the things people actually ask.
Is Beacon a courier?
No. Your courier delivers your parcel. Beacon shows you where it is, in plain English, and helps if plans change.
My tracking number isn’t recognised
Paste the whole thing from your dispatch email — a full tracking link works too. Numbers are 6–64 letters and digits. If Beacon can’t tell which courier it belongs to, you can still save it with an account and pick the courier yourself.
It says “waiting for the courier’s first scan”
A created label isn’t the same as a moving parcel. Scans usually appear within a few hours of the courier collecting it — nothing is wrong, and Beacon will never invent progress to fill the gap.
The courier’s own site shows something newer
Updates reach Beacon through tracking networks, and some couriers pass them on faster than others. We show you exactly what we have, as soon as we have it — and saved parcels keep updating automatically in the background.
Do I need an account?
Not to track a parcel. A free account lets you save parcels so Beacon watches them for you, see all your deliveries together, and forward dispatch emails straight into Beacon.
How do I delete my account or my data?
Email us at hello@bybeacon.co.uk from the address you signed up with and we’ll remove it. More in the privacy notice.
